Dusting off an old Sonic Screwdriver by SanHolo80 Dusting off an old Sonic Screwdriver by SanHolo80
This was my second build. (Mk II A) The silver was wearing off around the ribs at the bottom. So I gave it a whole new, old looking paint job. The new paint is a lot like what was on the 9th Doctor screwdriver.

I really like how the cracks look, how did you make them?

I do too. Its super easy. Its a 2 part spray paint. There's a gold undercoat and a bone colored finish coat that cracks to reveal the undercoat. The more undercoat you have the bigger the cracks get.

Oh! that sounds easy! I've never seen that kind of paint around here though, just nail polish (?)
I'll definetely go and do some cracks on something soon.
Thanks for the tip =)

This stuff is made by Valspar.  I got it at a Hobby Lobby. I've seen it on Amazon. I keep looking around my TARDIS for other stuff to crackle coat!
